What is the California State Preschool Program (CSPP)?
California State Preschool Program (CSPP) is an age and developmentally appropriate program designed to facilitate the transition to kindergarten for three- and four-year-old children in educational development, health services, social services, nutritional services, parent education, and parent participation.

The focus of the CSPP program is on literacy, number skills, social development, health, and safety. Parents are encouraged to participate in the classrooms as volunteers and are eligible to serve on the program-wide Parent Advisory Committee. The California State Preschool Program provides children with a daily snack and helps families access community resources.
